Developed with an eye toward the needs of students today, the American Association of School Libraries' National School Library Standards set school libraries as places of exploration, curiosity, and meaningful learning.
The Empire State Information Fluency Continuum (IFC) is the adopted curriculum for school library media specialists throughout New York State.
Throughout the school year, the library provides support in the form of collaborative instruction.
Based on the Stripling Model of Inquiry, classes and workshops in the library aim to develop students' research skills, from brainstorming and formulating research questions to creating and curating original research products.
In addition to whole class instruction, students also have access to the library and its resources during Open Access periods. Please check the schedule posted on the main page for more details!
