It's a rainy rainy rainy day...let's take a walk and be mindful!
As you walk clear your mind and notice:
Smell- Take some deep breaths. How does it smell different outside when it rains?
Watch- Notice rain drops as they fall. Where do the biggest puddles form?
Feel- Step out from under your umbrella. How does the rain feel on your face? On your hands?
Listen- Stand still. Notice what you hear. How does the rain sound in the trees? On your umbrella? On your roof?
The counselor assigned to our school will continue to service the students on her current caseload via phone.
The agency is also open to accept new clients, both in-office and via phone sessions.
If you would like further information on this resource please contact us directly!
Relax and take a fun imaginary journey by balloon with this 6 minute video!
Where did your balloon take you?
Draw us a picture or write about it. Share with us!!
In this uncertain time focusing on the things we DO have control over can help put some of that worry at ease.
Let's get started!
You will need: paper, markers, crayons, or colored pencils
Draw a BIG circle. Talk about some things that are outside your control: write or draw them inside.
Draw a smaller circle inside the big one. Talk about things you CAN control: write or draw them inside.
Draw a picture of you in the center.
Hang it where everyone can see!
Here's an example I made!
Identifying what your child has control over helps build self-confidence, a sense of responsibility, and helps ease anxiety.
Tongue-twisters are phrases that are designed to be challenging to say. Kids are encouraged to repeat each saying as many times as possible, as quickly as possible, without making a mistake. But enjoy the slip-ups… Tongue twisters are meant to be fun for the whole family!
Try these with your kids!
A cheap ship trip.
I can think of six thin things and of six thick things too.
Sam’s shop stocks short spotted socks.
Fat frogs flying past fast.
Red leather, yellow leather.
Selfish shellfish.
Shredded Swiss cheese.
The crow flew over the river with a lump of raw liver.
Red bulb blue bulb, red bulb blue bulb
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.
Which wristwatches are Swiss wristwatches?
Purple Paper People, Purple Paper People, Purple Paper People
Six slippery snails, slid slowly seaward.
Freshly-fried flying fish.
How much wood could a wood chuck; chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood
She sells sea shells by the sea shore
