Missouri Options is a program that allows students to earn their high school diploma through utilizing both course work and work release.
Students must be 17 years old and test into the program by passing the TABE test.
The MO Options classroom is designed for students that are able to work independently as well as in small group settings with teacher instruction.
Students will be expected to use their class time to work independently on labs ( classes required for graduation) or skills needed to pass the HiSET test ( GED).
Students will also be expected to participate in classroom discussions and activities that prepare them for the HiSET test (GED).
Students will be expected to attend class from 7:30 AM- 10:30 AM Monday- Friday. Missing over 18 hours of class per semester results in make up time for the student after normal class-time hours. Being tardy does count toward the 18 hours. Students are encouraged to bring documentation to excuse absences ( doctor notes).
Students will be expected to work 15 hours per week and turn in documentation while attending class, but once they pass the HiSET test (GED) students will be on work release and need to work 30 hours per week and turn in the documentation.
