Hello, and welcome to Hillsboro Junior High. My name is Carlie Uhlig, and I will be teaching 7th Grade Exploratory to FACS, Taste of Cutlures, and 8th Grade FACS. As a teacher, I am very excited to work with you and your student(s).
In Spring 2017, I graduated from the University of Missouri - St. Louis (UMSL) with my bachelor's degree in Middle School Education with an emphasis in Family and Consumer Science, as well as, Science. I then graduated in May 2023, from Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO), with my Master's in Educational Technology with an emphasis in Secondary Education.
My most enjoyable moments take place inside the classroom and outdoors. You can find me hiking, horseback riding, trout fishing, or kayaking throughout the year. I truly love spending time with my dog (Diesel) and two cats (Summer and Chico), listening to music, and spending time on our family farm.
