Thank you for visiting my site.
I am a member of the English department here at Hillsboro High School, teaching English I and Journalism. The HHS English teachers work together to teach life-long skills - reading, writing, speaking, and listening for a purpose.
In 2016, I married my wife, Andrea, and we live in Maplewood, MO with our dog Ted. We welcomed our son Ozzy to the family in 2018. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, golfing, reading, and playing music with friends. I built a home recording studio in my basement and have fun developing my skills with Photoshop, web design and audio recording. I enjoy creative endeavors of all kinds.
When planning lessons, I try to share some of my own interests and enthusiasm for teaching through class discussions and activities in my classroom. I have been teaching since 2008 and every year is something new. I get a kick out of my students and I'm always amazed by their creativity and the unique perspectives they bring to the table.
