Shop with Scrip

The Hillsboro Band Program is introducing a new, year-round fundraising that will enable you to help our program while you do your normal, everyday shopping. Here are some brief highlights of the new program:

• SCRIP is essentially “free money.” You place orders for gift cards to your favorite restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, movie theatres, clothing stores….pretty much everywhere. Each card earns your 8th - 12th grade student profit towards their account. Generally, profit amounts range from 2% all the way up to 13%!!!! All you pay is the cost of the card. For example:

• Spend $50 per week on gas. You earn 2.5% on that $50 at Shell. Over 52 weeks, you spent $2600 and earned $65 towards your student!

• Spend $500 a month on groceries. You earn 4% on that $500 at Shop ‘N Save. Over 12 months, you spent $6000 and earned $240 towards your student!

• SCRIP is year round and your account balance can be used for band and trip fee in future years. If you are not in the 8th-12 grade band program, proceeds from your purchases will be transferred to the general band fund to help the entire band program.

To register for scrip, please print the packet below and fill out an enrollment form. Return this enrollment form to Mr. Dedert at the High School Band Office or give to Jennifer Shelton, Hillsboro Band Booster Treasurer.
