Resources
Compass and Lutheran Services
As in past years, this year Compass (formally COMTREA) and Lutheran Services will continue for our Hillsboro Intermediate families. The Compass counselor provides group and individual therapy for students during the school day at no cost to the family; as well as many other resources and help for families. Lutheran Services provides individual therapy for students during the school day at no cost to the family.
There are many benefits of having these outside counselors in our school:
-therapy services provided are more long-term and free to students
-they provide medical/prescription resources or help with finding a physician or psychiatrist
-case management services
other therapy resources; family therapy, adolescent drug and alcohol support, female trauma groups, kids helping kids group, and CPR Jr.
How can I take advantage of the free counseling services?
If you are interested in your child receiving long-term services contact one of your Intermediate School Counselors for information, and to request a permission slip form.
The Intermediate Counselors also meet with students individually and for groups. If you are interested in having your child meet with a counselor at the Intermediate please contact them at the following numbers:
