Retest Policy

TEST RETAKE POLICY:

Summative tests can be retaken within 2 weeks of when the tests are returned. However, Summative projects, essays, and independent reading projects are not eligible for revisions or retesting. Each student has the option to retake each skill test ONCE and will receive the score on the retest, if that option is taken. If you want to retake a test you must meet these conditions:

• All original assignments must be turned in on-time. If work is submitted late, then retesting is not an option.
• Pre-arrange after school target tutoring or during some Academic Lab sessions with an ELA teacher.
• Complete a guided practice study guide for the test during tutoring.
• Take the test during a scheduled TEST MAKE-UP Tutoring session after school or during Academic Lab.

LATE WORK:

If for some reason there is a problem turning in an assignment, then students will have the opportunity to still do the assignment and turn in. Turning in work late will disqualify students from any retesting. Any late formative assignment can be turned in for credit. The extension of time allowed to complete the assignment is up to the teacher’s discretion.
