Beginning Band
This is an ensemble made up of 6th and 7th graders that have no band experience. In this class, the students are taught how to read music, put an instrument together, and play that instrument. Over the course of the school year, this ensemble performs in two concerts, Christmas and Spring.
Middle School Band
This is an ensemble that is made up of 7th and 8th graders that have one or two years of playing experience. This ensemble continues to further their knowledge of their instrument and reading music. Over the school year, these students work on expanding their musical difficulty level and begin preparing for high school band music.
High School Band
This is an ensemble that is made up on 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders that have been playing for 3 years or more. This group gets to perform at each home and away football game, marching competitions, pep rallys, parades, concerts, and more.
Jazz Band
This ensemble is made up of student volunteers that want to experience a different style of music than the traditional classical music we play in class. This ensemble will meet after school once a week to work on jazz style music. Jazz music is not only just your typical jazz you probably already know. It is also playing some of your favorite tunes in a jazz setting. This ensemble will not be for a grade, but is a commitment to attend each of the after school rehearsals in order to participate.
