WCCLS Student Library Cards
WCCLS Student Library Cards
The Student Library Card is an introductory public library card for HSD students grades K-12 through the Hillsboro Public Library or any of the Washington County branches.
The card will give you access to homework help, academic databases, streaming video, and print/digital ebooks and audiobooks.
Who gets a Student Library Card?
HSD students K-12 who do not already have a WCCLS public library card.
Students whose parents/guardians have not opted them out of the sharing of directory information.
What do I get from a Student Library card?
Check out up to 5 books or audiobooks at any WCCLS library.
Place holds on up to 5 books or audiobooks.
Renew physical items up to 4 times, unless there is a hold on that item.
No overdue fines!
Access to academic databases to use for homework and research projects
Check out ebooks and audiobooks on desktop or through the Sora App.
What is the Sora App? Can I use the Libby app instead?
Sora can be used on your smart device by downloading it from your app store. It can also be used on your computer.
Sora is our school district's digital library collection and has eBooks and audiobooks for you to check out and enjoy.
You can add your library card to the Sora app to access the public library's digital collection.
Libby is made by the same company as Sora. It looks and operates exactly the same!
Libby is the app any library user can download and use with their library card.
Libby does not filter out general adult titles, like Sora does. So Libby is a great choice for high school students who wish to read titles written for adults.
See the document below for your username and password! (only viewable if logged in with an HSD email account)
