The goal of Hanover School Division is to achieve Deeper Learning through engaging learning environments, collaborative learning partnerships, high yield pedagogical practices, and the leveraging of digital technology. By embedding digital technologies into classroom practice, we accelerate, amplify, and add value to learning. Chromebook 1:1 will enhance learning by creating a personalized student-centered learning environment. The use of Chromebooks support collaborative inquiry and expand learning beyond the classroom. The Hanover School Division has deployed approximately 5500 Chromebooks to students in the division.
With Remote Learning beginning within the Hanover School Division, ICT Services is providing some additional online resources for families to use to support technology at home. Along with these resources ICT Services will be available to families in the event that they may experience technical issues or malfunctions while out of the school.

We are asking that parents complete the form for all students and all communication back and for will be done through a parent email account. The Hanover School Division uses Go Guardian to monitor and filter content on all student Chromebooks. Go Guardian provides HSD the ability to filter content when devices are at home and at school. During this remote learning period students using Chromebooks at home will have the same access to content as they would at school. It is important to note that this access is monitored and students must still adhere to their Responsible Use Agreement.
The Hanover School Division uses Google Meet for Remote Learning Video Conferencing with classrooms. A quick tutorial for Google Meet can be found here: Tutorial
To join a Google Meet simply visit meet.google.com, sign in (if you have not already) and you can join your Google Meet by clicking the Join button. You will need to know you meeting code in order to join.
