NOW ENROLLING FOR SPRING 2022 (Jan 2022)
HSC offers full courses in a micro-school format. (Note: courses will commence based on interest/enrollment.) Students may register for any of our exciting courses to complement their studies and or in many cases serve as transcript-worthy official course offerings. All courses are 30 weeks long and will consist of 180 study hours as per the standard American school year. These courses are rigorous and vigorous: they are arduous as well as exciting and fast-paced. Students are required to meet prerequisite skill levels to enroll. Students who do not meet said prerequisite standards may enroll in independent study or a recommended HSC mini-course to prepare. Students will attend live or asynchronous courses where they will complete work in all aspects presented in the Common Core State Standards for their grade level. These include reading fiction and non-fiction, writing, speaking and listening, research skill as well as extensive vocabulary development. Students will be expected to complete homework and to participate in live class discussions.
