The Teacher Learning and Innovation Allocation (TLIA) enables school boards to support teacher collaboration, responsive learning, and the sharing of effective practices within schools, within school boards and across the province.

Initiating an application process for teacher teams to apply to (e.g. funding to teacher teams)
Working together in teams within the school and/or across schools
Engaging in teacher-led communities of practice (e.g., mentoring, sites of learning, collaborative inquiry, coplanning / co-teaching, instructional rounds)
Job shadowing opportunities to observe another teacher
Learning from a coach, expert working alongside the teacher(s)
Partnering with community or other experts
Purchasing key professional texts/resources (hard copy and/or online)
Purchasing technology to support learning goals if in alignment with the board's learning goals and complies with board policies and procedures as the equipment will belong to the board.
Developing online modules to support asynchronous learning and sharing
Creating lesson plans, e-Books, podcasts, videos, and online resource guides
Release time to support teacher learning Virtual conferences to partner with and learn from experts, where coverage is available.
Track and monitor proposed and actual budget (i.e. release time, orders, receipts, etc.)
Connect with Curriculum Coordinator/Mentor regularly with project updates.
Ensure all funds are spent by May 25, 2026.
Prepare a Sharing of the Learning submission in June 2026. Suggestions include but are not limited to: brochure, newsletter, slide deck, Google Site, webinar, video.

November - Selection Committee will review all applications and make funding decisions.
November 2025 - Project Leads of successful applications will be notified.
End of November: TLIA Projects to begin.
May 25, 2026: All funds must be spent. No spending will be permitted after this date.
June 12, 2026: Sharing of the Learning submission is due.
