Freelance Security Project Manager

Location: Zwijndrecht, Belgium (Hybrid – 3 days onsite/week)
Contract: Freelance (Full-time)

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Security Project Manager to lead the recovery and successful delivery of critical cybersecurity initiatives within a large international industrial enterprise.

This assignment is ideal for a senior project manager who combines excellent delivery capabilities with a solid understanding of enterprise cybersecurity environments.

Working alongside Security Architects, Infrastructure teams and senior business stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring high-impact security projects are delivered successfully.

Your Responsibilities

• Restart and structure strategic cybersecurity initiatives.

• Lead end-to-end project delivery from planning to implementation.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams across IT, Security and Business.

• Manage project scope, planning, budget, quality and risk.

• Remove blockers and proactively drive project execution.

• Report project progress to Security Leadership and executive stakeholders.

• Ensure strong governance, documentation and stakeholder communication.

• Contribute to technical discussions while maintaining a delivery-focused mindset.

Projects

You will mainly work on initiatives involving:

• Network Access Control (NAC)

• Privileged Identity Management (PIM)

• Identity & Access Management (IAM)

• Infrastructure Security

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who brings both technical credibility and strong project leadership.

You ideally have:

• 5+ years of experience managing IT or Cybersecurity projects.

• Proven experience delivering enterprise security initiatives.

• Good understanding of IT infrastructure and security architecture.

• Experience working in complex enterprise environments.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills.

• Strong communication skills with both technical and executive audiences.

• Hands-on attitude with a pragmatic problem-solving mindset.

• Ability to work independently while coordinating multiple stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience with NAC solutions.

• Experience with PIM or IAM implementations.

• Industrial or manufacturing environment experience.

• Experience delivering complex transformation programmes.
