I’m so excited about the wonderful opportunity to teach your child this year! Teaching has been my passion ever since I was a kid playing school in the basement with my two sisters. Along with teaching second grade, I've also taught first grade and worked as a reading specialist. I’m a graduate of Hope College with a master’s degree in reading from GVSU. 

I live in Holland and I have three wonderful kids. Katherine is a teacher and lives in the Chicago area with her husband, Matt, and cute baby, Marcus. Danny is a civil engineer and he and his wife, Julia, live in Grand Rapids. They have two sweet boys, John and Matthias. My youngest, Will, works for a healthcare technology company and also lives in GR. Some of my favorite activities include playing with my grandkids, baking yummy things, running, and reading really long books.
