Welcome to First Grade!

First grade is such an amazing year of learning! Your child will grow so much as a reader, writer, and mathematician. They will learn how to become more independent learners by learning from as well as teaching their peers.

This is my first year teaching for Hudsonville Public Schools, but my 8th year teaching first grade! Before this year, I was a first grader teacher for West Ottawa. I am so excited to be an eagle and work in the community we call home!

My husband, Cody, and I have been married for 7.5 years. We have 3 amazing kids. Rylee is 6 (who is a first grader at Alward), Quinn is 4, and Maddox is 1.5. We spent our last two weeks of summer camping and enjoyed every moment of family time. You will hear a lot about my family and I cannot wait to learn more about yours!
