MARY POPPINS AUDITIONS FOR ELEMENTARY & MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS:
In order to be considered for a part in the HHS production of Mary Poppiins, we need the following from you:

2.) Please submit a 45 second video of your student singing "A Spoonful of Sugar" to Mrs. Andre: dandre@hpseagles.net by Sunday, January 14 at 6:00 pm. Be as animated/dramatic/expressive as you possibly can in this video. Please use a lovely, light, classical tone (no belting please). You do not have to be memorized but we also want you to look up at the camera not down at your words. If you are chosen to continue with the audition process, we will contact you via PARENT email to come in and read some lines with us later in the week.
Meet Mrs. Deborah Andre
Director of Vocal Music
For the past twenty three years, Mrs. Andre has taught elementary and secondary vocal music in Hudsonville Public Schools. In her tenure as the director of the high school choral program, Deborah's choirs have attained much success at MSVMA District and State Choral Festivals. They have also enjoyed acclaimed performances at the Michigan Music Conference. Her choirs have also performed in distinguished venues in Chicago, New York and Florida.
In 2007, Mrs. Andre had the pleasure of working with the All-State Choir at Interlochen Center for the Arts where she also taught musical theater and private voice lessons. Deborah has been a member of GVSU's music faculty, directing the Festival Women's Chorus in 2006 and 2007. Mrs. Andre also maintains a private voice studio in Hudsonville and is a clinician for sevearal area schools. Deborah serves as an adjudicator for MSVMA for Choral and Solo & Enseble Festivals and is a 2012, 2015, and 2018 nominee for MSVMA's State Honors Choir Director.
Mrs. Andre resides in Hudsonville with her husband, Paul, and their two children, Evan and Drew, and dog, Titan. She loves and values her community and is blessed to serve as a teacher in this phenomenal school district.
Open to all grade levels for changed or unchanged voices.
Primary to Intermediate difficulty level of music.
No previous singing experience necessary!
Open to unchanged voices in grades 10-12.
Intermediate to Advanced difficulty level of music.
Placement by audition - private vocal lessons encouraged.
