Prom is one of our most expensive student-based events. As you think about this event, please keep the following in mind:
Our focus is to have a fun, safe, memorable event for our students attending.
We try to keep costs reasonable.
A majority of money spent on this event goes to items/experiences our students consume.
For example: desserts, chocolate fountains, give-aways, photo booths, take home gifts, parking in specific public ramps
We consider many different venues each year, but we are limited by our size, costs to us (and eventually our students), parking availability, and security.
HHS Dance Code of Conduct
HHS Students who attend Prom will be asked to read & acknowledge their understanding of the following dance code of conduct before purchasing their ticket(s):
I understand that Prom is a school-sponsored event & attendance is a PRIVILEGE. I agree to abide by the following guidelines regardless of my age:
I will remain alcohol, tobacco & drug free.
I will dress appropriately. Avoid plunging necklines, excessive slits in dresses, excessively short dresses. Wear a clean collared shirt, khaki or dress pants. Prom = suit & tie or tuxedo.
I will avoid dancing inappropriately during the evening. (Grinding, twerking, overtly sexual or sexually suggestive, etc...)
I will NOT be “glued” to my date or another person all night.
I will treat my guest/date & other students at the dance with respect & not do things that would make them uncomfortable.
I will treat all school staff members, administrators, chaperones, & adults with respect.
I will speak kindly to staff members, administrators, chaperones, & adults when spoken to.
I will not willingly damage the facilities or anyone’s belongings at the event. (Breaking things, ruining dresses, etc...)
Failure to follow these guidelines will result in the following consequences:
Students will be warned to change their behavior & wristband will be removed.
Any student spoken to a second time will be asked to leave.
Students who are disrespectful, those who are insubordinate, or cause a scene when being disciplined will face additional consequences which may include a ban from future HHS dances, an athletic code violation, contact with the police, or other consequences at administrators’ discretion.
