The 2026-2027 school year will be my 18th year teaching, and my 11th year working with Hudsonville Public Schools.  I began my teaching career in Baltimore County, Maryland.  Out there, I taught 1 year of middle school math, 2 years were spent as a math resource teacher at the elementary level, and then I taught 1 year of 4th grade before teaching 3rd grade for the next 3 years. 

In 2016, I joined the 4th grade team here at Alward, and in 2022, I transitioned into my current role as Alward's full time STEAM teacher.  I have a passion for integrating technology with meaningful hands-on learning.  I am so excited for the work we will do together this year.

My husband is also a teacher, and teaches math and computer science at Wyoming High School.  We have a daughter, Lexi, who is in 5th grade at the 5/6 Building this year, and a son, Logan, who is in 2nd grade.  When I’m not at school, I love to spend my time crafting with my Cricut, traveling (especially visiting National Parks), being outdoors, and watching college football (Go Blue!).

I am excited for this school year and look forward to a great year exploring, learning, and growing together!
