My Philosophy
My Philosophy
I believe that all students should have the freedom to read! My goal is to encourage a lifelong love of reading by providing students with voice and choice in their reading material. Life is too short to read boring books! I believe that my students are more than just a reading level, and that the best book for a child to read is the one he or she chooses to read on their own. Kids deserve access to books that they can read, but also that they WANT to read; books that reflect their lives, experiences, and interests; and books that teach them about lives that are different than their own. Read every day, lead a better life!
