Mr. Meyer graduated from High Point in 2004. He played hockey and was on the school track team. Unfortunately, High Point did not yet have an ice hockey team. After graduating from King’s in 2008, he worked at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Florham Park, NJ as an assistant athletic trainer for two years. He worked with the men’s and women’s soccer teams, football, men’s basketball, and men’s lacrosse. He then worked at Wallkill Valley Regional High School for 3 years before returning to High Point in the Fall of 2013. He completed his Master’s degree that Fall as well. He currently resides in Andover, NJ with his wife Kia, their dog Isla, and cat CJ.
Mr. Meyer is passionate about proper rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Taking the experiences of working in the college setting during his undergraduate studies and then his time at FDU, he discovered how many high school athletes make it to college and perhaps missed out on properly rehabilitating simple injuries. Since the beginning of his employment, it has been his mission to do everything possible in order to give High Point student athletes a college-like sports medicine experience within the school’s athletic training facility.
