Health includes a study of personal health and fitness, nutrition, growth and development, human sexuality, use and abuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. The course will cover communicable and chronic diseases, consumer and environmental health. The Red Cross First Aid and CPR courses will be covered.

This course is designed to develop an understanding of the phenomena of our everyday life using the laws of physics. The emphasis is on problem solving and on encouraging students to understand and appreciate their environment from a new perspective. Students will participate in laboratory experiments and activities to aid in the understanding of the topics. This course includes topics such as motion, forces, energy, momentum, electricity, magnetism, light and modern physics.
