ABOUT MRS. PARKS

I grew up in Arlington, Texas and went to Martin High School. I attended Texas Christian University for my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. My bachelor’s is in Mathematics Education and my master’s is in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Mathematics Education. This is my fifth year at MIS and I love being a McCulloch Raider!

I have always wanted to be a teacher! I see my role in the classroom as providing support and guidance for student’s social, emotional, and academic growth. A positive and supportive experience for each student is important to me. I believe open communication between teacher, parent, and student facilitates this success.

When I am not at school.... I love going on walks with my dog, Maisey, spending time with friends and family, and traveling with my husband!

I am excited for the 2022-2023 school year!
