Education Services: Instructional Materials Selection

The District shall provide a wide range of instructional resources for students and faculty as part of its instructional program. Although the Superintendent shall ensure that professional staff select instructional resources in accordance with District policy, administrative regulations, and the state-mandated curriculum, the ultimate authority for determining and approving the curriculum and instructional program of the District lies with the Board.  EF (Local)

Teachers will be instrumental in the process of review and selection for grade levels/course instructional materials in their area(s) of expertise.  Parents, students, and community members will be provided multiple opportunities to provide feedback during the selection process.
