Course Description:
Welcome!!! This year we will be studying the history of the United States from the beginning of the American colonies until the present day. This course concludes with a New York State Regents Exam in June. In addition to the curriculum, students will gain a better understanding and appreciation of United States History, as well as connecting material to current events and their own lives.

This year the US Regents Exam is on June 1st 2023. The test outline will be as follows:
28 Stimulus Multiple choice documents
→ These questions will be based on Document analysis and outside information
Stimulus-Based Short Essay Questions
→ There will be two short responses (both between 2-3 paragraphs)
→ Set 1 will be to Identify and explain the relationship between 2 Documents
→ Set 2 will be to Analyze Document 2 and discuss the Documents Reliability
→ Please note that there will be 4 different documents to analyze in this section
Civic Literacy Essay Question Essay
→ 7-9 Document Questions
→ Literacy Essay Question (4-5 paragraphs)
All classroom activities and assignments will be aligned to New York State Standards as well as to prepare students to successfully pass this exam.
