STAR is staffed by a dedicated Clinical Coordinator and Academic Coordinator
STAR Academic Coordinator - Miss Brittany Pagan. I am a Behavioral Teaching Assistant and have been with the HPSCD since 2016. My focus has been in a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) classroom at Violet Avenue School. I support students with diverse needs, including those impacted by trauma. My role has centered on fostering positive relationships, implementing strategies and creating a supportive environment that encourages emotional growth and academic success. I look forward to bringing my experience, energy, and passion for student growth to the Haviland community and making a positive impact. In my free time I enjoy exploring places and experiencing new things. I especially love spending time in the mountains, and I play pool as a fun and relaxing hobby. I can be reached at brittanypagan@hpcsd.org.
STAR Program Mission
HMS STAR aims to provide coping skills, regulation strategies, build resiliency
and give students the tools necessary to persevere through challenging
situations and successfully transition to their classrooms.
The STAR program is a stop on the journey, not the destination.
