Welcome to North Park Elementary! I would like to share with you a little bit about myself. I live north of Hyde Park in a town called Germantown. I have a daughter named Sophia who is 18. My husband works for an organization that helps farmers. I live on land that used to be my Grandparent’s farm. I have 2 horses, 1 cat and 1 dog.
I grew up in Germantown and went to the Germantown Central School District. I have a BA in English Literature from Miami University. Then I went to SUNY New Paltz for my Masters degree in Elementary Education. I recently went back to school to earn a Certificate of Advanced Studies for teaching English Language Learners. This is the beginning of my 27th year teaching in Hyde Park.
When I am not teaching, I love to spend time outdoors. My family enjoys going on long camping trips. My favorite trips have been to Iceland and Newfoundland. I have traveled to 46 out of 50 states in the US! I also love to read. When I am not reading or camping you can probably find me doing some type of crafty project!
Over the past few months, I have really enjoyed learning all sorts of new technology to bring into the classroom. I can’t wait to share it with you! Let’s have an awesome year!
