Hello Everyone!  Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year.  I am very excited to get to know all of you and have a great time in Physical Education.   First I want to take the time to tell you a little bit about myself:

I was born and raised on Long Island in Massapequa Park,  N.Y.   I moved to the Hudson Valley in 1996  where I live with my wife and 3 children.  During my high school years I played baseball, basketball, football and soccer for Berner High School in Massapequa, NY. 

I graduated from SUNY Albany with a degree in Economics.  I earned a Masters Degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Sports Management from East Stroudsburg University.   I also attended Adephi University where I received my teaching credentials in Physical Education.    While at SUNY Albany I played baseball and I was an Assistant Baseball Coach at East Stroudsburg University while I pursued my Masters Degree.

This is my 26th year in the Hyde Park School District teaching Physical Education and Coaching.  I have been at Haviland Middle School for all 26 years.  I currently split time teaching at Haviland and Ralph R. Smith Elementary School.  I have also taught PE at Netherwood, North Park and Violet Avenue Elementary Schools over the years.  I coach Girls Modified Basketball at Havliand.  In the past I have also coached baseball and soccer  for both Haviland and FDR. 

When I am not teaching or coaching, I love spending time with my family and  fill most of my spare time  golfing,  skiing, hiking,  biking, sailing and  kayaking.
