Mrs. Rymph is a professional violinist and orchestra teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance from the State University of New York at Geneseo, where she was Concertmaster of the orchestra for four years, and won two concerto competitions. She received her Master of Music degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music (State University of New York at Potsdam). Mrs. Rymph taught in the Wappingers Central School District before coming to the Hyde Park Central School district in 2010. Her students consistently earn high ratings at NYSSMA festivals, allowing them to participate in Conference All-State, Area All-State, and All-County festivals.
When she is not teaching, Mrs. Rymph can be found playing for weddings and has played for many years with orchestras in the Hudson Valley area, including the Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra (Violinist and Orchestra Personnel Manager), Woodstock Symphony Orchestra, and Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra.
Mrs. Rymph lives with her husband, two children (son age 10 and daughter age 12), and cats, Dodger and Mewtwo. She also has a stepdaughter who is 25 and lives in Albany, working as an EMT. Hobbies include watching her children's activities (like dance competitions and baseball games), outdoor activities (especially bike riding, swimming and hiking), baking, and bird and wildlife photography.
