Hi everyone! I'm Mr. Vachiraprapun but you can just call me Mr. V. I was born and raised in New York City and moved up to the mid-Hudson Valley to attend Vassar College where I double majored in Biology and Sociology and earned by bachelor's degree. I then went on to earn my master's degree and teacher certification through the Masters of Arts in Teaching program at Bard College. I then began my teaching career in Chatham, NY where I taught for 8 years while also coaching basketball, cross country and track and field.
I am passionate about animals, nature and the outdoors, in general, which is likely what led me to focus my studies on Biology. I also enjoy fitness--specifically, basketball, baseball, weightlifting and running. To round out my liberal arts interests, I also appreciate and enjoy musical theater, the fine arts (particularly ceramic art), poetry, non-fiction writing and travel. More than anything, however, I love teaching and I look forward to meeting new students and forging new connections each and every year!
