This is my 24th year as a Senior English teacher at FDR High School. Twelfth grade is honestly my favorite level to teach because I have realized that helping to guide each senior and their family closer toward their future path after high school is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job. The growth I see in my twelfth-grade students after I assist them with writing college-admissions-style or scholarship essays, developing research skills, or improving critical thinking abilities is remarkable.
Outside of school, I've spent the last decade coaching my sons in soccer, baseball, and Odyssey of the Mind in Germantown. My oldest son is about to begin his second year of college in Germany this year, and my youngest son is a senior in high school. My favorite pursuits are cooking and baking, traveling around the world with my family, building drama sets, working on home renovation products, and rooting for Boston sports teams (most specifically the Red Sox, Celtics, and the Patriots).
I look forward to teaching and learning with you all this year!
