Just like my students, I too went to school in Hyde Park. I attended Ralph R. Smith Elementary School, Haviland Junior High, and then graduated from FDR in 1996. While at FDR, I was a student-athlete playing varsity basketball and baseball for three years. I was also a member of the National Honor Society.
In the fall of 1996, I attended Dutchess Community College for one year and then transferred to the University of Hartford, where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2001.
I was hired in the summer of 2001 as a sixth-grade teacher at Haviland Middle School and began teaching in September, where I have taught ELA and social studies for the past 24 years. I received my Master of Science in Curriculum from Western Connecticut in 2004.
I currently live in Highland, NY with my wife Elizabeth, and three daughters.
