My goal as an ENL teacher is to support English Language Leaners (ELL's) in their process to achieve language proficiency.

Using daily instruction in the four language domains: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening.

With student centered approaches:

Stand alone instruction students are in a smaller instruction setting and slower pace than mainstream. This is excellent for our entering students in language development and confidence building providing scaffolding to language learning.

Push in instruction excellent for all levels of ENL students, grade level academic support is provide in the mainstream classroom, providing scaffolding in content area language development. Collaboration with teachers to enhance student learning.

A big part of my teaching philosophy is to provide students with a safe comfortable environment enabling them to trust me and allow themselves to learn. I do this my getting to know my students , forming a bond that creates learning in many situations.
