Welcome to North Park!

I am Barbara Danner, one of the four reading teachers at NPE. I started my second career at NPE in 2000. Prior to that, I taught grades 1, 2 and 4 in Maryland and California. My children are now adults having interesting lives while I am happily settled in Woodstock, NY. Besides pampering my cats, I enjoy gardening, walking the trails, visiting with friends and family, and of course, reading! Audiblebooks are always playing during my daily commute to school.

My goal as an educator is to be the kind of teacher that I wanted for my own children. I am always looking for new ways to help our students to become confident readers and writers. I am happy to work with my students’ families and will make time to talk and or meet with you at a convenient time.
