Using Microscopes
Students learned how to use microscopes and looked at various plant and animal cell specimens.
Cell Organelles Lab
Students compared common items to the functions of organelles in animal cells. They then had to connect the cell organelle functions to the functions of the organs in our body.
Nervous System & Reaction Time
Students tested how fast they were able to catch the meter stick using different stimuli. They used sight, sound and touch stimuli to test their reaction time.
Starburst Rock Cycle Lab
Students studied the process in the Rock Cycle and then modeled the processes using Starbursts. Each student was able to make each rock type and some enjoyed their yummy and not so yummy "rocks" in the end.
