About the Teacher

I have been in education for 15 years. I have taught both 4th grade and Middle School science. I am a graduate of SUNY New Paltz, with certifications in both Elementary Education and Science through 12th grade. Integrating technology into the classroom is something about which I feel very strongly. While I do not believe technology should replace classroom instruction, I do believe it can be used to supplement classroom instruction. Incorporating various technologies into classroom activities often enhances the environment and keeps students motivated and engaged.

My passion is teaching science and I love to take my students outdoors to explore.

I have a husband and 1 son. We love to travel and spend time on our boat in the summer. I play softball and soccer and stay as active and healthy as I can. Taking care of animals is something I am very passionate about as well! I have 10 pets.
