Process

To collect my turtle facial shots, I used an Olympus TG-5 Underwater Camera. I would try to wait for the turtle to swim near me as to not disturb it too much, and would be careful not to chase it. I would then try my best to get an unobstructed picture of the turtle's facial scales from a straight across angle (as seen in the picture to the right) on both sides.
