Dress Code:
This dance is Semi-Formal. Attendees will wear an outfit that is dressier than what one would wear to an office but not as dressy as a formal evening gown or tuxedo [For more information/clarification on semi-formal attire, see this website.]
What is a semi-formal dance?
Think of it as a stepping stone; in previous years, you had theme dances. You dressed according to a theme. When you reach high school, you will have formal dances—in ninth grade, Homecoming, and junior year, Prom.
Our semi-formal is a step between the two types of dances. When you purchase a ticket, you understand that you are to show up wearing something nicer than shorts and a t-shirt, but not as fancy as a homecoming/prom dress or tuxedo.
If you have questions regarding the dress code, ask Mr. Kamovitch, Mrs. Fryda, or see a student senator.
Gentlemen:
Dress slacks with a collared shirt; ties optional. A blazer or sport coat is not recommended as we will not have a coat room. Dressier shoes are recommended, but not mandatory.
Ladies:
Dresses or skirts that are mid-thigh or longer; avoid dresses that are too revealing (no midriff or low neck-line); No strapless dresses.
All:
Avoid t-shirts, jeans, and athletic wear, and any kind of shorts.
Blockbuster Bites
Light eats will be offered for those looking to munch on some a la carte goods in our “VIP Lounge” (open to all, of course!), including Chik-Fil-A Sandwiches, Pizza Works Pepperoni Rolls, Nachos and Cheese, chips, candy, and refreshments! *Menu items subject to change based on availability*
