Chrome Extensions are little things that you add to Chrome that can save you time or do fun little clever things. You've probably installed a few of them that won't help your learning (eg: Tetris or a VPN) but there plenty of them that will. Here are a few examples. Click here to go to the Chrome Store and browse
Google Calendar Extension: This is a little extension that allows you to view your calendar quickly, and add events to it using real language. For example, you can just type in “Google Classroom Workshop with Bret this Wednesday at 3:30” and it will add it to your calendar. Also, you can click it and see a nice little overview of your day. Just click the link above to install it.
Google Docs Quick Create Extension: This one was recommended by Pretesh Kumar. It saves me about 10 seconds each time I use it. Pretesh made a video for Maths that walks through the install process. Here it is. Easy process, just click here and hit the Add-On button. If it asks what domain you want to use, make sure you put howick.school.nz. If you have a personal account signed in to chrome, it will add new documents to that if you don’t tell it not too. After you add it on, you will see another little button at the top right of your browser (see picture to left). Click it and you will see options to create whatever kind of doc you want, without having to go to Drive or Docs or whatever.
