Fitness Gram

Students need daily physical activity to support healthy growth and cognitive development. We must continue to build an active school environment that supports daily physical activity, quality physical education, recess and sports participation. We can’t manage what we don’t measure. Data from FitnessGram drives decisions, allowing parents, students and school leaders to build the healthy habits kids need to be successful well into the future.

Physical Education Standards

Skills taught in PE go far beyond motor skills. Interpersonal skills, such as respect for self and others, goal setting, resiliency, confidence, stress management, and strategizing are all part of a quality PE program. Soft skills such teamwork, working in groups, problem solving, stress management, time management, appropriate sporting behavior, leadership, cooperation, respect for others, and managing competition are all critical in today’s world
