Howard Marklein has proudly served the 17th Senate District in the State Senate since 2014. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the budget-writing Joint Committee on Finance (JFC) and serves on the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Revenue, the Joint Legislative Audit Committee, the Joint Committee on Employment Relations, and Joint Legislative Council.
Howard has been appointed to the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority Board of Directors, the State Fair Park Board, the Wisconsin Mississippi River Parkway Commission, and the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) Mississippi River Basin Cohort.
A retired CPA, Howard works to protect Wisconsin's checkbook and tirelessly advocates for the unique needs of the communities he serves - from roads to farms to broadband to schools.
