Frequently Asked Questions

What are the students getting? Students will receive the Chromebook along with a charger. Both item will be returned at the end of the school year. No additional accessories (Example: mouse or stylus).

Will the Chromebook have a label so each child can identify it? Chromebooks have a unique number at the bottom of the device (T140_ _ _ _). The student's name is the first thing that shows on the screen when turned on. Additional labels or decorative stickers will not be allowed.

Will the students be provided a case or will need to get one? Chromebooks have a pre-installed hard-shell case, no need for an additional case. Students will slip straight into their backpacks. Removing the case is against agreement and may result in confiscation of device by Device Technician.

My child already has a laptop, why are they still getting a Chromebook? Uniformity among the devices on campus facilitates providing technical support for students. Chromebooks have been set up with filters that will ensure use is strictly for academic purposes. In case of damage, loosing, or malfunctioning our Technology Team is able to provide a replacement. The school is not responsible for personal devices.

Will my child only be utilizing the device in class, or will there be homework to do on the device? Students will use the Chromebook throughout the day and take them home to complete assignments or follow up with that day's classwork. All class assignments and resources are accesible on Canvas our new learning management system (LMS).
