2025 LANIER GIRLS SOCCER TRYOUTS

UPDATE: Due to forecasted inclement weather tryouts have been moved to Thursday 1/23 and Friday 1/24 from 4:15-6PM at the Lanier Soccer Field.  

Practice Schedule:

Monday and Wednesday 6:30 - 7:45AM / Tuesday and Thursday 4:15 - 6PM

To participate in tryouts, students must be academically eligible and complete the registration paperwork. Registration via Aktivate needs to be completed by the end of the school day on Friday, December 20th.

 

Registration is done online via the Aktivate website (formerly Register My Athlete).
Athletes are required to have the following for registration:

• • Up-to-date sports physical - The form can be downloaded from the Aktivate website or from the link below.

    • HISD Athletic Physical

  • Choose one of the following options for insurance.

    • Purchase HISD athletic insurance for $35. This can be completed on the SchoolPay website.

or

• • • Insurance Waiver - download an HISD insurance waiver, fill it out, and have it notarized or signed by an HISD administrator.

    • HISD Athletic Insurance Waiver

• Athletes cannot participate in tryouts if the paperwork isn't completed.
  
  Tryout Information

  • Players should plan to attend tryouts on both days.

    • There will be cuts after the first day of tryouts. 

  • What to bring

    • cleats/soccer shoes

    • shin guards

    • water bottle

    • workout clothes

• Typically, 40 - 50 girls show up for tryouts and there are 15-20 spots on the team. In order to be competitive for a spot on the roster, be sure to train in the weeks leading up to tryouts.
