Lanier Choir Board

The Lanier Choir Board is a subset of the Lanier Friends of Music Education, which is a non-profit supporting Lanier Middle School band, orchestra and choir. The Lanier Choir Board assists the Choir Director in fundraising, concert and event planning, chaperoning choir events, and other duties as requested. We’re here to help our students have a great experience in choir by lifting the administrative burden on our Choir Director, so that he can focus on what he does best—teaching and encouraging young vocalists.

Volunteering

We are always looking for parent volunteers to help feed students before concerts, chaperone off-campus choir events, and support our growing choir program.

Volunteers must be registered with HISD VIPS prior to volunteering at school events or functions. Keep an eye out for SignUp Genius links in Mr. Swann's newsletter.

Fundraising

99 Pledges
In fall 2025 we raised more than $26,000 so we could purchase formal uniform attire for every student in our advanced choirs. Stay tuned for more information about this year's 99 Pledges fundraiser.

Spirit Nights
We will gather at local eateries to build community while raising funds for Lanier Choir. Looking forward to seeing you at our next Spirit Night!
