Games Robots Play is an educational real-time robotics challenge. Groups arrive at the challenge with a pre-built universal robot, or teams may elect to have nothing built prior to arrival. Participants bring their own building materials for any platform of a fully autonomous robot; no remote or wire-controlled robots allowed. Participants will be briefed on the four games. Teams will then have the rest of the time to build, program, and score. Participants may choose to work on one game, all four games, or any combination of the two. This day is meant to challenge students and offer a format for growth in educational robotics. Judges and scorers are present, watching for great robot actions and awesome teamwork, and certificates are awarded across many categories.
Hey friends, I am GRP - pronounced Gerp and I will be your host for Games Robots Play (GRP). I am looking forward to seeing you and your robots at my event. See you on March 28, 2026 at Waltrip High School.

RAM STEM Foundation provides essential human and financial resources for programs and events that foster an environment that encourages engagement from students, coaches, parents, and the community to promote Robotics and STEM education.
RAM STEM Foundation proudly supports Rambotics Inc., a nationally recognized robotics and engineering powerhouse proudly representing Waltrip High School. Our scholars compete in a wide range of prestigious competitions, showcasing innovation, teamwork, and technical excellence. The team has earned accolades in VEX Robotics, advancing to UIL, Nationals, and Worlds; BEST (Boosting Engineering, Science, and Technology), where we have consistently placed among the top teams in Texas; REC Drones, taking flight with aerial engineering challenges; and BotBall, where creativity and coding shine through strategic game play.
This year, Rambotics is expanding even further by introducing FIRST Robotics—a global competition known as the “ultimate sport for the mind”—and MATE ROV (Marine Advanced Technology Education), which challenges students to engineer remotely operated underwater vehicles.
Through these diverse platforms, Rambotics Inc. continues to push boundaries, inspire future innovators, and proudly elevate the Waltrip Ram Nation on local, state, and national stages.
