Getting Started

Start creating your Digital Literacy Moment video!

● Any student grades 1-12 may participate.

● Show how online behavior matters.

● Help develop strong privacy habits and good digital citizenship.

● Have fun and be creative!

Steps to Getting Started:

● Make sure you have a signed media release form on file with the school office. (If you don't know what this is, ask your teacher.)

● Pick a partner: Students can work alone, with a partner or as a group.

● Find your topic: Look at the topic list for sample ideas and scripts.

● What's your style? Your entry can be animations or videos that last 60 to 90 seconds.

● Time for a plan: Make a storyboard (a picture outline) and then write the script (the dialogue you'll record during your video).

You're ready to begin filming and editing! Check the Tools page for some ideas about free online apps you can use.
