Answer Garden

Answer Garden is a minimalistic feedback tool that allows you to collect real-time participation from your students. With this tool your students can instantly and collaboratively brainstorm and provide feedback.

Your Task

Step 1: Create a New Answer Garden

Go to the Answer Garden Website and click on the plus sign in the top, right corner of the webpage

Step 2: Select a Topic or Question

In the field provided and with your students in mind, type in a question or topic related to the content area you teach. Keep in mind the responses are expected to be one or two words to capture common themes.

Step 3: Select Options

Remember Answer Garden is a simple tool that can be instantly implemented. The default mode is normally pre-selected as "Classroom" . However, you may change the mode if you like. Be sure to read the descriptors for each.

Remember to design your question to accommodate short answer responses. You may select either 20 characters or 40 characters.

Step 4: Admin Password & Continue to Customize then Create

There are a few more customizable options for your Answer Garden. Please skip over email and local discoverability.

Admin Password

Select a password you will remember and store it in a location that you will be able to find at a later date

Spam Filter

You have the option to turn off common, unwanted responses from students that the system has pre-set.

Case

You select whether you want the responses to be all lower case or is you want the first letter uppercase.
