Being a teacher has been one of the ways I’ve wanted to make an impact to others in my life. I’ve had the opportunity to teach in Mozambique for a year, obtain teacher leader roles, start volunteer clubs at school, advocate for students who are in credit recovery programs, provide opportunity for students in our NJSH Program to obtain volunteer hours through our Peer Tutoring Program, coach football, basketball, track, and strength and conditioning. These are opportunities I have had the privilege to serve in, and my goal is to ensure each student is provided equal opportunity in our schools.
