Transportation

Getting to Copenhagen:

Flying: The easiest way to get to Copenhagen is by flying to Kastrup Airport (CPH). The airport is located on the outskirts of Copenhagen on the island Amager.

The Copenhagen subway (Københavns Metro) connects the Airport with the central and western parts of the city, including Nørreport Station, and terminates at Vanløse metro station. Nørreport Station is Copenhagen's busiest station, with numerous bus lines, the Metro, as well as regional and national train connections.

Buses also run to and from the airport lines 35 and 36 service the area around the airport and western Amager, including a stop near the University's South Campus (linie 35). The 5C line can also be taken from the airport, it services the central (Indre By) and northwestern parts of Copenhagen (including: Nørrebro, Nordvest, Brønshøj, Husum). This line stops at the Københavns Hovedbanegård (Copenhagen's central train station) and Nørreport Station.

Trains, both regional and national lines, run regularly from the Airport to Københavns Hovedbanegård and Nørreport station.

Other: It is also possible to reach Copenhagen from other European cities, by bus and/or train, check for example https://www.goeuro.com/ for prices and available routes.

Getting to the University:

It is easy getting to the South Campus of the University of Copenhagen with public transportation.

The Metro stop Islands Brygge St. is located only a few hundred meters east of the Humanities faculty's buildings. Coming from the city center just make sure to take the M1 line headed towards Vestamager St., these leave approximately every 5-7 min.

The 12, 33, and 78 bus lines also stop at Islands Brygge St. and the 250S bus line also stops nearby, some 700 meters west of the Faculty buildings.
