6:30 p.m.: The first part of this class event will be a 30 minute presentation focusing on the local community and exploring how the Farm, Hotchkiss Dining, & the Tory Hill food system have addressed and impacted the regional economy and Food awareness and injustice. As a final project, the class will be asked to consider what they can do to support their own communities through local agriculture, food pantries, and other service projects.

Been There, Run That: Hotchkiss Virtual Fun Run starts

In celebration of Bearcats everywhere taking care of themselves, we are bringing you the annual Reunion Fun Run virtually. The class who records the highest number of running or walking miles during our virtual Hotchkiss Reunion, June 18-20 will be crowned the Hotchkiss Been There, Run That beasty Bearcats.

All class years are encouraged to participate.

“I had a nice 5.25-mile run on Friday morning followed by a great 15-mile hike with my youngest daughter, 6-year old Magnolia (so 20.25 miles total). I’ve attached a photo of the two of us at the fire watch tower at the summit of Mt. Tamalpais in Marin County, CA from Saturday. It was a beautiful day, and I shared many Hotchkiss stories with her over the course of our 8-hours of hiking together!”
